I am the youngest of four. I have two brothers and one sister and they are my second parents to me. I have been blessed with talented siblings and many time they have made my life easier. Well actually, my homeworks easier. With pity eyes and helpless body language, I've always managed to gather their power to fix my problems. =D
One thing that I remember the most is when I was in middle school. I got a group assignment, to make a giant world map. That time I was actually expected that my team would finish it together. But apparently there were too much discussion about where would the discuss take place, so I decided to do it alone while waiting my team took a step. But unfortunately the situation didn't change and there I was, on the last day, in my bedroom, still tried to colour the picture that I made.
That time, my bedroom was in the first floor with all my siblings. Most of the time, my bedroom lied on the ground floor. So they could see me from the open window and door, inside there alone. They have seen my progress and awared that it was supposed to be a teamwork. Then one by one, they came into my room and we ended up there untill midnight. That was totally epic. My teacher gave the best grade for it. And I feel like it was the best family project ever. I even put it on my wall because it was more than a school assignment. It was historic.
And we haven't had that kind of teamwork eversince. Well at least not all at once like that.
my big brother, Roel, is a computer geek and falling in love with any kind of illustrating. I finally made him do my work when I need to finish my last assignment for my Children Stories study. I was creating my first children books and with the help of him, I could turn my hand drawing into digital.
My second brother, Hanif, is a sport geek. My family project with him was when I was going to have a practical final test for sport when I was in highschool. He became my personal basketball trainer.
After praying subuh, we would go the basketball yard and practised my lay ups. I did well on the test. Not bad for a girl who always sat on the side of the yard, watching some handsome boys playing basketball.
My third one is my sister, Dara. She is good on ... Everything. She might choose anything she likes to do. I don't think we've had any family project though we did dream about it once.
It was when we watched a dorama called, 'Just The Way We Are'. The tv series itself told a story of two bestfriends. The one is good in drawing and the other one is a dancer. But what inspired us that moment was we wished we could make our own children books. Where my sister would be the illustrator while I would be the writer.
But eventhough my sister is good at everything, she can only pick one priority in her life. It's because she is very loyal and would give all her best for that one priority. Once she chosed, the other thing would left behind. And that was happened with our dream. Or maybe it was actually my dream only.
It's ok, it will happen when it suppose to happen. Meanwhile, I think I need to plan my new family project with the kids. Who knows, one of the project will stay on their mind as sweet memory of their mother. And may they would forget my monster image. =D
But the thing is ... Why oh why am I so lazy to prepare it!!!!
